In State v. Kramer, 318 Md. 576, 569 A.2d 674,(1990.) defendant was convicted in the Circuit Court, Cecil County of manslaughter by motor vehicle and driving motor vehicle without security insurance. The Court of Special Appeals reversed and remanded for new trial. Certiorari was granted. The Court of Appeals Specially Assigned, held that: (1) joinder of vehicular manslaughter and security insurance counts was prejudicial requiring reversal of convictions on both counts, and (2) evidence sustained conviction for manslaughter by automobile.
